On 19 March, New Energy Coalition welcomed the board members of the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission for a site visit to the REFORMERS Flagship Valley in Alkmaar.

The visit was hosted at InVesta, one of the valley’s key locations for deploying and demonstrating innovative energy solutions.
During the session, participants were introduced to ongoing developments at InVesta and to the broader Flagship Valley approach through a series of presentations by:
- Peter Simoes (InVesta) – innovation activities underway at the site
- Joshua Dauda (New Energy Coalition) – overview of the REFORMERS Flagship Valley
- Ben Tubben (Alliander) – smart control strategies within the valley
- Bob Busser (HyDevCo BV) – the Hynoca hydrogen production plant
- Chata Mundell (Sustenso Algae) – biological carbon capture and utilisation
The visit concluded with a Q&A session and a guided tour of the InVesta facilities, offering board members a closer look at the technologies and innovations being implemented on-site.
