Our core coordination team has recently participated in the Enlit conference in Milan, where the REFORMERS’ project was hosted in the New Projects Pavillion and joined two discussion panels jointly with other European Research projects. The project is also hosted on the official website

On our first day Professor Thierry Coosemans from VUB joined the session “New Projects in the Spotlight”, where energy projects recently approved by the EU Commission showcased their plans and preliminary insights. Projects participating in the discussion include Di-Hydro – Digital Maintenance for Sustainable and Flexible Operation of Hydropower Plants, MISSION, D-HYDROFLEX and Battery2Life.
On the second day Joep Sanderink from New Energy Coalition participated in the panel “A future based on RES”: panelists brought examples on how new technologies and sources can shape renewable energy and its intergration in the near future. Projects participating in the discussion include TAKE-OFF, SEMPRE-BIO, 3Bee, ThumbsUp, and Hystore.
As one of the largest energy fairs in Europe, gathering hundreds organisations, companies and representatives from industry and the whole European energy market, ENLIT has been a premium opportunity to meet other projects and discuss potential collaborations and synergies. Moreover, we could finally meet in person our sister project’s team members, CRETE VALLEY’s coordinator Elissaios Sarmas and its collaborator Michalis Rachmanidis from EPU-NTUA.
We thank all the attendants who joined our sessions, all researchers and project managers who dedicated us time to exchange and address our questions, hopefully creating more space for more innovative research towards tangible results in decarbonisation and EU net-zero targets.
Looking forward the next edition…meanwhile Subscribe to our Newsletter!
