by Rebecca Hueting – REFORMERS Communication and Dissemination manager at Deep Blue
In this short blogpost we report on our partners meeting at Urban Tech Republic last October. On the 8th and 9th of October REFORMERS’ research task leaders gathered in Berlin for an extended executive board meeting. The hosting partner Stoff2, our partner developing and building electrolyzers for the production of green hydrogen, organised the meeting in the Urban Tech Republic premises in Tegel.
After standard short updates from each work package, discussions focused on better coordinating tasks and integrating results and assets. Additional discussions in groups addressed the following:
- The so-called “Control Philosophy” of the Flagship Valley in Alkmaar.
- The collaborative business models.
- The LCA inventory data collection process.
- The first highlights from our stakeholder engagement activities with the front runners group in Boekelermeer.
- Set-up of a “Data management” taskforce.
After lunch on the first day the group could participate in a guided tour through the start-up community – amazing repurposing and recycling of former furniture and building components everywhere – and visiting the different labs including Stoff2’s pilot “Zink Zwischenschritt Electrolysers”. On the second day the group could enjoy a short walking tour across the former airport Tegel – Berlin TXL outdoor facilities.
It is often thanks to in person meetings that mutual understanding increases and deeper cooperation initiates. The whole Consortium thanks Stoff2 for their welcoming and flexible attitude. We recommend everyone visiting such an inspiring site and stay tuned for their future plans…the community is growing fast!
